Tye Engineering has always been a family-oriented business, and we strive to reflect that personal, dedicated approach in the way we work with our clients. From the initial consultation to project completion, our clients deal with the same team member throughout, ensuring a consistent and bespoke service every step of the way.
Tye Engineering was founded by Nick Tye in 1999. With a background as a trained agricultural engineer, Nick brought years of experience in manufacturing and maintaining agricultural machinery. This hands-on expertise in welding and fabrication provided the foundation for the business and quickly established Nick as a specialist in all aspects of steel fabrication.
After many successful years manufacturing and installing gates and railings, client demand led us to expand our services. In 2004, we undertook specialist training and began offering gate automation services, including the installation and servicing of automated gates, garage doors, and intercom systems.
In 2010, the company further evolved to supply, manufacture, and install structural steel. A year later, Nick’s son Edward joined the team and now leads the structural steel division. In 2016, Nick’s son-in-law James also became part of the business, taking charge of gate and railing fabrication, along with the production of decorative steel components.
Today, Tye Engineering remains true to its family roots while continuing to grow and adapt. With decades of combined experience and a commitment to personal service, we deliver high-quality, tailored solutions for every client.
